Digital transformation
My client is part of one of the UK's leading health and social care organizations. As a social enterprise, they provide employee mental health and well-being solutions within organizations. They help organizations address gaps and provide psychology-led, evidence-based solutions to improve mental health KPIs, such as absences and burnout.
As lead UI/UX designer, my task was to develop an integrated consumer-facing informational web presence. I also created a fully functioning hub portal where users and an admin can log in, see relevant content, and take action to support their mental well-being.
As lead UI/UX designer, my task was to develop an integrated consumer-facing informational web presence. I also created a fully functioning hub portal where users and an admin can log in, see relevant content, and take action to support their mental well-being.

The Challenge
The main challenge was understanding and analyzing different types of users, their journeys, and end goals. From there, we had to construct a seamless and integrated experience. Firstly, we needed to get employers interested in purchasing the wellness platform for their employees. Secondly, we needed to create a best-in-class experience for employees with granted access to the platform.

The journeys
To understand the complex and different journeys of both employers and employees, I created simplified diagrams representing various actions these users will take, showing how they feel during different journey stages.

The flow
An IA was created in detail for both the consumer-facing website and the well-being platform. Connectors between the site and the platform were key, enabling no barrier for users with accounts to access their content.

The website
The client wanted its site and platform to be designed and developed quickly, allowing me to create a brand identity from scratch. The client was pleased with the choice of the illustration set, which was fully adapted with a fitting color palette and shapes that reflect their professional and calm approach.

Clear UX and a strong visual identity
With the consumer-facing website, a fine line had to be threaded. The website needed to serve as the first touchpoint for companies to become enthusiastic about investing in mental health and well-being. At the same time, it needed to serve as a first entry point for employees to log in to their platform or to be motivated to refer their employer to our's solutions. The solution makes sure each journey is clear and easily accessible. Supporting a clear UX, a strong visual identity was created, breathing corporate and providing a safe place for mental health concerns.

The platform
The employee wellness platform is designed to improve self-awareness and self-management of mental health and well-being issues. Individual support categories were created to help users quickly find what they want, addressing four pillars of mental well-being—mind, body, behavior, and financial.

Designed to improve mental health and wellbeing issues
By creating a clear and pleasant user experience, we provide users with the following:• Tangible behavioral change
• Simple and easy-to-follow hints and tips
• Self-guided CBT, where more in-depth intervention is required

Solutions
By first understanding and analyzing types of users and creating straightforward journeys for each, I made an effective digital well-being platform and an integrated consumer-facing website. The client used their new brand identity for digital and print advertisements. A couple of months after the launch, I was asked to create a storyboard and designs for a promotional video explaining the client's services and newly launched well-being platform.
